Town of Smithfield / Planning Board Town of Smith eld, Rhode Island Public Hearing NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Smith eld Town Council will hold a Public Hearing at the Smith eld Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike, Smith eld, RI on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 7:00 PM. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to consider and act upon proposed amendments to the Comprehensive Community Plan. These amendments are proposed to be made in accordance with the provisions of Section 45-22.2-8 and 45-22.2-12 of the General Laws of Rhode Island. Comprehensive Plan Amendment Summary: The proposed amendments involve a change to the Future Land Use Maps designa- tion of Assessors Plat 46, Lot 63 - 150 George Washington Highway, from Low/Medium Density Residential (LMDR) to Planned Corporate (PC) along with the extension of the Economic Growth Overlay District (EGOD) as shown below. At said Hearing opportunity will be given to all interested persons to be heard upon the proposed amendments. The proposed amendments may be altered or amended prior to the close of the Public Hearing, without further advertising, as a result of further study or because of the views expressed at the Public Hearing. Any alteration or amend- ment must be presented for comment in the course of the Hearing. A complete copy of the proposed amendments are available for inspection or copying at the Planning and Economic Development Of ce, Town Hall, 64 Farnum Pike, Smith eld, Rhode Island during regular business hours (8:30 AM 4:30 PM, Monday Friday). In- terested persons requiring special accommodations or assistance are requested to noti- fy the Town Managers Of ce (401-233-1010) at least 48 hours in advance of the Hearing.
