Man arrested after repeat indecent exposure incidents

LINCOLN — The Lincoln Police Department arrested Edward Gamboa, a 43-year-old man living on Amherst Avenue in Pawtucket, following two incident of indecent exposure.

On Wednesday evening, police were notified that the suspect from an indecent exposure incident reported on July 28 had returned to Cumberland Farms on Smithfield Avenue to repeat his offense.

The first incident occurred at around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A female customer was entering her vehicle to leave the gas station when Gamboa allegedly lifted up his shorts to expose his genitals and began to touch himself.

Officers searched the area, but were unable to locate Gamboa.

Two days later on Thursday evening, officers called back to the scene found the suspect sitting in a red Jeep in the parking lot.

He was arrested, processed and held overnight prior to his arraignment Friday morning.

Based on his description, police say the suspect is likely linked to a third incident that occurred on July 21 at the nearby City Coin Laundry Center, during which the suspect exposed himself and committed lewd acts in front of a 16-year-old employee.

He was arraigned in Third District Court today for two counts of indecent exposure - disorderly conduct.

He received a $1,000 bail with surety, but was turned over to Superior Court as a violator on a separate charge. A pre-trial date has been set for September 21.
