Gai-Kah joins College Crusade as adviser

PROVIDENCE – Agi Gai-Kah of Pawtucket has joined the College Crusade of Rhode Island as an adviser at William M. Davies Jr. Career and Technical High School in Lincoln.

Gai-Kah graduated from Shea High School in 2007 and majored in political science at Temple University in Philadelphia as a first-generation college student.

She returned to Pawtucket after she graduated in 2011 and pursued a yoga teaching certificate. As a substitute in the Pawtucket School Department and a yoga instructor to high school students throughout Rhode Island, she has worked to equip students with mindfulness tools that support social and academic growth.

The College Crusade supports more than 4,000 students in middle school, high school and college each year with one-on-one advising and year-round programs that focus on academic enrichment, social and emotional development, career education, and postsecondary preparation to help them become the first in their families to earn a college degree.
