Arnold P. Cook

Arnold P. Cook, 74, of Chepachet, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018.

Arnie is survived by his beloved wife Nancy Clarke-Cook and was the husband of the late Connie L. (Tinkham) Cook. Born in Providence, July 30, 1944, he was a son of the late John H. and Ella (Parker) Cook.

Arnie was a professional cross-country truck driver for 35 years until his retirement in 2008 due to health reasons. He was a former boy scout with fond memories of Camp Yawgoog. He was most proud of his service in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Cuban Crisis and the Vietnam era. He was also a former volunteer firefighter with the Greenville Fire Department. He was also very active in the Glocester Little League with his sons. He served his country and community with pride.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by his daughters Kim Cook of Sterling, Conn., April Cook and Robert Corriveau of Glendale, R.I.; three sons, Andrew Cook and his wife, Jennifer (JJ), of Coventry, Thomas Cook and Alivia Saunders of Elkton, Md., and Daniel W. Cook of Sterling, Conn. He was the grandfather of Jonathan Card, Abigail Cook and Amaya Lynne Cook; step-grandfather of Joshua and Ashley Cook; Pepe to Jordynn Elizabeth Verdoia and Tyler Joseph Verdoia of North Smithfield. He is also survived by many cousins across the country.

Relatives and friends are invited to a committal service with military honors on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, at noon in the R.I. Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Gather at the Administration Building of the cemetery at 11:45 a.m.
