New blood on Glocester council, School Committee

GLOCESTER – In a nine-person race for the five-seat Town Council in Glocester, all four incumbents running for re-election came out on top.

Council President George “Buster” O. Steere, and council members Walter M. O. Steere, III, Patricia Henry, and William Reichert will return for another two-year term.

Julian Forgue will take the fifth seat on the council.

In the non-partisan School Committee race, two of the three incumbents were re-relected. Cynthia Joyce and Walter M. O. Steere Jr. will return for another term on the School Committee. Melissa Worthy will take over Mary Ann Carroll’s seat, defeating the incumbent by more than 150 votes.
