NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Mancini Center officially welcomed its new doctor, Ibrahim Elgabry, during a ribbon-cutting luncheon celebration at the senior center last Thursday, Oct. 4.

Elgabry is a cardiologist at Ocean State Cardiovascular & Vein Center in Woonsocket. At the center, he’s offering screenings targeting cardiac/vascular disease prevention and detection, health care guidance, community health lectures and enrichment programs, a cardiac rehab program, and nutritional and culinary programs.

“What makes this new medical center so unique is there is nothing like this offered anywhere in any senior center setting,” said Director Linda Giorgio. “We hope through this initiative to begin a momentum and be the potential model center for such a program.”
