Police find cocaine in baby formula container, arrest couple

PAWTUCKET – On Jan. 10, the Pawtucket Police Department's Narcotics Unit searched the first floor apartment at 67 Baldwin St. on warrant issued after an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of narcotics. The two residents, Lawrence Thompson, 26, and Ashley Barros, 25, were arrested and charged with:

• Possession of cocaine with intent to deliver
• Manufacturing possessing delivering cocaine 1oz-1kg
• Distribution or manufacturing in or near school
• Possession of marijuana with intent to deliver
• Maintaining a common nuisance

The Narcotics Unit seized approximately 71 grams of Cocaine hidden in a baby formula container, 102 grams of marijuana, and approximately $3,000 in cash. The street value of the illegal narcotics is estimated to be approximately $6,500.
