WellOne welcomes new psychiatric nurse practitioner

SCITUATE – WellOne Primary Medical and Dental Care has announced the addition of Jennifer A. Ugbanaja to its team of behavioral health specialists.

A press release announced that board certified and licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner Ugbanaja will provide comprehensive care for behavioral health patients. Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, prescribing medications, medication evaluation and management, as well as diagnosing problems and developing treatment plans. Ugbanaja is available to see children, adolescents and adults in WellOne’s Pascoag, Scituate and North Kingstown facilities.

Ugbanaja holds a master of science degree in nursing with a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner specialization from the University of Saint Joseph, Hartford, Conn. She also holds a master of science degree with a specialization in child and adolescent psychiatric clinical nursing from the University of Rhode Island, where she also earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing.

WellOne is a federally-qualified community health center that provides primary medical, dental and behavioral health services in Pascoag, North Kingstown, Scituate and Foster.
