Rotary Pet Walk to help shelters planned for Sept. 30

CUMBERLAND – The annual Pet Walk to benefit both the Cumberland and Lincoln animal shelters will be held Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Monastery, Diamond Hill Road, near the gazebo. The event, postponed from June, is sponsored annually by the Rotary Club of Cumberland-Lincoln.

Dogs and other pets can be walked along the one-mile Monastery trail beginning at 10 a.m. Registration will begin at 9 at the gazebo. There will be raffles, vendors, and prizes available.

Amica Insurance will also be on hand with their “Paws for a Photo” booth and free photos of you and your pet.

Registration is $15, and you can help by asking friends and family to sponsor your walk. There will be a prize for the top fundraiser, and all registrants will receive a free T-shirt. Rotary can only guarantee proper shirt sizes if registration is received on or before Sept. 20.
