Read to a therapy dog tonight at the library

CUMBERLAND – The Children’s Room of the Cumberland Public Library is hosting the program Paws to Read, in which youngsters can read to a therapy dog, on the second Thursday of the month, September through December: Sept. 14, Oct. 12, Nov. 9 and Dec. 14, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

The program will have a drop-in format; no registration required. Readers age 12 and younger will have a 15-minute reading session, first come, first served. Participants should bring a book with them so they are ready to read when it is their turn. Program is for children who are reading on their own. All volunteers teams provided by Windwalker Pet Therapy.
