Cumberland Zoning Board looks to fill vacant seat

CUMBERLAND – The Cumberland Zoning Board of Review is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of one of its members, Peter Vosdagalis. The individual appointed would complete Vosdagalis’ term, which expires Dec. 31, 2018.

The Zoning Board of Review consists of five members, each with a term of five years. There are also two alternate/auxiliary members appointed for a one-year term who sit as active members when and if a member is unable to serve at any hearing.

The board hears and decides appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by an administrative officer in the enforcement of zoning ordinances of the town. It hears and decides special exceptions to the terms of the ordinance.

It also acts as the Planning Board of Review.

The board meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
